About Santa Clara
An amazing city of diversity, innovation, and community!
Issues
- Need for Infrastructure Improvements – No planning was done to ensure funds were set aside for the infrastructure needs like the roads, the building repairs, and community assets like the SWIM CENTER
- New Development Projects: 40,000 new housing units are being planned in the city and there is no plan in place to meet the new infrastructure demands.
- More Affordable Housing – the supply is still low and the demands continues to be high. Need to increase the housing near major throughways. That will allow prices to be more affordable. In addition need more affordable housing for your seniors, youth and working families.
In 2018, the Superior Court Judge ruled against the City of Santa Clara in the CVRA lawsuit. It was determined that the city needs to hold elections by district. Since the past election model was unfair. Read more here about the lawsuit at https://mggg.org/SantaClara.pdf
